Coffee inspires the imagination, or so it seems when you look at all the different coffee drinks that people enjoy around the world.
Semi-skimmed milk makes a lovely addition, but you can vary your amounts and make it hot or even foamy. Then you can call your coffee a Café au Lait, Cappuccino or Latte Macchiato. If you add hot milk and chocolate powder you make a Café Mocha.
You can also drink your coffee cold. If you cool it down with ice and cold Semiskimmed milk and shake it you’ve made a Greek Frappé.
It’s not just milk, or ice people add to their coffee, it’s also possible to make delicious hot and cold coffee cocktails too (consumed responsibly!). The most famous is perhaps an Irish Coffee, made with whiskey, sugar and cream. But it’s not just whiskey that finds its way into a coffee drink, brandy mixes well with coffee and there are also several coffee flavoured liqueurs.
