Capturing The Spark
Capturing the spark
Only the finest beans find their way to our NESCAFÉ jars.
We have a careful selection process to make sure you receive the best quality and taste everytime.
After harvest, the cherries are milled and dried before being tasted and shipped to their destination. Call us fussy, but we test each container of beans again on arrival to ensure the quality hasn’t slipped during transportation.
Our coffee drinkers are in control
The beans are then precisely blended, roasted and ground before going through an extraction process, (rather like a giant cafetière) which is when we extract the coffee before drying it.
The drying can either be hot, in a spray drier, or cold, in a freeze drier.
At different intervals our master tasters take samples to check it meets our quality benchmark. This taste benchmark is set by some very important people: our consumers.
We hold consumer taste trials on a regular basis to check that our coffee is exactly the way our consumers want it. If you’re not happy, neither are we, and it’s back to the drawing board for our blenders and tasters.
Once we’re all satisfied, the coffee is packaged and all ready for it’s final destination – your cup.
